The Jubilee Year of Hope offers the opportunity to pilgrimage to St Carthage's Cathedral and encounter Christ, the Mercy of the Father.
The 2025 Jubilee Year, proclaimed by Pope Francis, is a time of renewal, pilgrimage, and hope, with the theme "Pilgrims of Hope." It is a special year of grace, inviting Catholics worldwide to conversion, mercy and mission. Bishop Greg has chosen the Cathedral’s West Doorway as the Holy Door for the year. Passage through the Holy Door will be a powerful reminder of the mercy of the Heavenly Father who is always ready to receive those who approach Him. 🌍 The Jubilee Logo – A Symbol of Hope ✝️💛 The Jubilee Year of Hope has a special logo that tells an important story. 👥 The logo shows four people from all around the world, standing together and holding onto each other. This reminds us that we should care for one another and be united as one big family. ✝️ The person at the front is holding onto the cross. This shows that our faith in Jesus gives us hope, especially when life is difficult. 🌊 Underneath them, there are waves. These remind us that life is sometimes stormy and hard, but we must keep going with hope. ⚓ The bottom of the cross is shaped like an anchor. An anchor keeps a ship steady in a storm, just like hope in Jesus keeps us strong during hard times. 🛤️ The people in the logo are walking together toward the cross.
