Year of Mercy Pilgrimages

The Jubilee Year of Mercy offers the opportunity to pilgrimage to St Carthage's Cathedral and encounter Christ, the Mercy of the Father.
With Pope Francis’s inauguration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy (8 December 2015 - 20 November 2016), Bishop Jarrett has chosen the Cathedral’s Tower Door as the Holy Door for the year. Passage through the Holy Door will be a powerful reminder of the mercy of the Heavenly Father who is always ready to receive those who approach Him.

Parishes and schools can book a pilgrimage to the Cathedral and be guided in a tour through the Cathedral and avail themselves of the Sacrament of Confession.
A tour of the Cathedral will be offered during the Year of Mercy on Saturday mornings starting at 11.30am.

Bookings can be made by contacting the Parish Office to reserve a suitable date via:
email: office@stcarthages.org.au
or
phone: 02 6626 0200.

To find out more about the Cathedral pilgrimages please contact the Pilgrimage Co-ordinator Fr Nicolas Maurice
